大众甲壳虫挑战之旅车队进入中国

Vintage Volkswagen Challenge Tour

值中华人民共和国和德意志联邦共和国双双成立六十周年华诞之际，一支由德国大众经典甲壳虫组成的甲壳虫车队于7月30日从德国埃尔兰根出发，踏上了驶往中国北京的“挑战之旅”。8月28日，甲壳虫挑战之旅车队来到中国边境城市二连浩特，正式进入中国，受到了大众进口汽车销售有限公司总经理沙德先生和9家主流媒体的热烈欢迎。

On the occasion of both People’s Republic of China and Federal Republic of Germany celebrating their 60^th anniversary, a team consists of 5 Volkswagen classic Beetles began their “Challenge Tour” departing from Erlangen of Germany to Beijing of China on July 30^th. On August 28^th, the Beetle Challenge Tour team arrived in frontier city of China, Erenhot, formally entering into China. They were warmly welcomed by the Managing Director of VICo Mr. Klaus D. Schadewald and 9 mainstream media.

8月30日，当甲壳虫挑战之旅车队来到北京的北大门居庸关，来自北京的几十辆新甲壳虫和甲壳虫车迷们早已等候在这里。新老甲壳虫齐聚，中外甲壳虫车迷共贺，大众经典甲壳虫受到了人们的一致喜爱。大众进口汽车销售有限公司总经理沙德先生、车迷代表分别发表了热情洋溢的欢迎辞，并献上了精心准备的礼物。活动同时吸引了大批媒体和观众的围观，居庸关成为了一个欢乐的海洋。

On August 30^th, when the Beetle Challenge Tour team arrived in northern gate of Beijing—Juyongguan Great Wall, dozens of New Beetle and the Beetle fans from Beijing had already waited there for their arrival. The Beetle and the New Beetle got together and both the Chinese and abroad Beetle fans celebrated the memorable moment. The Volkswagen Beetle is unanimously loved by all the people. Germany Ambassador Dr. Michael Friedrich Wilhelm Schaefer, the Managing Director of VICo. Mr. Klaus D. Schadewald and representative of the beetle fans delivered warm welcome speech and presented carefully prepared gift respectively. The event also attracted the attention of many media friends and large crowd of audience. Juyongguan became a highlight of the tour.

下午16时，甲壳虫挑战之旅车队抵达此次旅行的终点——德国驻华大使馆。德国驻华大使施明贤先生、大众进口汽车销售有限公司总经理沙德先生、来自全国的几十家媒体朋友以及特地赶来的甲壳虫车迷们共同见证了这一激动人心的时刻。

At 16 o’clock in the afternoon, the Beetle Challenge Tour team arrived at the final destination—the German Embassy in China. Germany Ambassador Dr. Michael Friedrich Wilhelm Schaefer, the Managing Director of VICo. Mr. Klaus D. Schadewald, dozens of media from all over China, and many Beetle fans purposefully coming around from far away had witnessed this exciting moment together.
